The long awaited return of Todd Duffee is now looking like it will come in Vegas at UFC 114 against Mike Russow, according to Heavy.
Duffee exploded onto the UFC scene back in August when he recorded the fastest official victory in UFC history over Tim Hague, taking just seven seconds to despatch of 'The Thrashing Machine'. His heavy hands and athleticism are a key component and it's exciting to see a young prospect with his physical attributes in the heavyweight division.
Russow, 12-1, is largely known for his submission skills. With eight of his twelve wins coming via tapout, it looked like the bout with Justin McCully in his UFC debut would be evenly matched. It was, but Russow managed to overcome his opponent and take a Unanimous Decision victory. With his only loss coming to Sergei Kharitonov in Pride back in 2007, it is safe to say that he is also a prospect amongst the UFC's big men and this bout will serve to distinguish a future contender from the pack.
The event on May 29th in Las Vegas will be coupled with the UFC Fan Expo and a headline fight of Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson vs. Rashad Evans is expected.
